Melchior Prisi Geh nicht allein ins Emmental
Well-read, a passionate collector of bibliophile treasures and equipped with a keen sense for music and drawing: Melchior Prisi (1957-2020) was a self-taught artist. He rarely appeared in public and worked in seclusion on an impressive oeuvre on paper. After his death, 1001 works in A4 format came to light - drawings in pencil, charcoal and oil pastels as well as collages. They give an idea of the complex issues the artist dealt with. The Kunstmuseum Solothurn is presenting a dense selection of his unique work in the Northwest Hall.

Note: This text was translated by machine translation software and not by a human translator.
